I decide to start this group because I enjoy walking and love Central Park. The 6 mile loop is challenging and great as part of my exercise routine. It would be great to have a group of women who also enjoy walking to help me push myself to go there and push my time to make it a challenge. This is for women who are interested in walking at a brisk pace for 6 miles, or working up to walking at a brisk pace.

This will be a group who want to get together to walk in the morning during the week, and maybe weekends. This will more likely than not be a same time every day/week group. Also, it would be great to move the walks around to different locations....Rockefeller Preserve, North/South County Trailways, County Parks. etc. I am open for suggestions. In addition, members of different pace might group together over time. Lets be flexible.
Meetup details are available only to members.
Sorry you lost your leader, but this opportunity is great for walkers like me, Michelle Babian who feel better when moving around, would like to make a good habit of walking and can foresee adding other physical activity down the line. This year I think that walking flat terrain is challenging enough. The frequency and consistency, the desire, the accomplishment are enough! Walk on, right on, move on, carry on, ...... I'm looking forward to meeting you all for a match-up, motivating, mind stormi …

Experience the surprisingly beautiful and tranquil places in NYC. We'll explore its little-known gems, both natural and manmade--lovely gardens, forests, parks, promenades, waterfalls, galleries, art installations, mansions, and much, much more. In summer, we'll even cruise to beaches and offbeat neighborhoods. Expect the unexpected! I'll provide some commentary, but you'll have plenty of time to chat with the other walkers. All ages welcome! Distance: typically 4 to 8 miles Pace: Moderate (not …

There are so many parks and locations to choose from throghout New York City. I plan on meeting everyone at the main entrance by the circle of Prospect Park in Park Slopes Brooklyn at 8 .am. sharp. We will arrive back between 9:30 or 10 a.m. or just depart from the workout location. The riding destination will only be given to those who ar …
